Biography

Lorenzo Gangi - Web Developer

I have been actively producing websites and web applications for over 10 years. Most recently, I've worked with the Washington Corporation to produce a site for their subsidiary Seaspan's 2011 rebranding. As project lead, designer, front and back end developer, database guru, and system administrator, I have helped companies realize their potential on the web with a successful web presence. Having worked on projects as large as multinational corporate sites and as small as simple blogs, I've gained a reputation for being a developer who can “do it all” while at the same time easily communicating the complexities of backend development to both clients and team members.

A Master’s degree in computer science from the University of Montana provids me with a foundation for understanding interface and applications development from the smallest human-computer interactions all the way to abstract concepts of machine learning. While working as professional “LAMP” programming specialist for clients such as Lean Healthcare West, The US Forest Service, and the University of Montana Mansfield Library, I've utilized LINUX, APACHE, MYSQL, PHP, and JAVASCRIPT to develop attractive designs, intuitive and easy-to-use front end interface, efficient back end Content Management Systems, and robust Web Applications.

I am actively involved with several non-profit groups and clubs in the Missoula Montana community. I donate web development to the Montana World Affairs Council, am part of the University of Montana Italian Club, and hold the rank of Sankyu in Kodokan Judo.
