Music

"Fistful of Lonesome" hit the shelves November 1st 05. I couldn't have hoped for a better debut album. Featuring the guitar work of Ian Fleming, John Lowell, and Eric Uglum, as well as Ivan Rosenberg's Dobro, Megan Lynch's fiddle, Mason Tuttle's Mandolin, Fred Kellner's Bass, and Matt Lyndall's inventive vocals, "Fistful of Lonesome" is a real barrel of monkeys. Here's what people are saying

Lorenzo Gangi is an imaginative banjo picker from Missoula, Mont. In his latest recording project, he has gathered some talented musicians to create ten exciting tracks, including "Wings Of Angels," Eddie Rabbit's "Driving My Life Away," "Blue Mountain Backstep" (i.e., "Clinch Mountain Backstep"), and a lighthearted treatment of the Mexican revolution song "La Cucaracha." "Fistful Of Lonesome" is clear evidence that bluegrass music has taken root in the State of Montana.
-- Bluegrass Unlimited

Lorenzo Gangi is one of the most solid and innovative young banjo players on the bluegrass scene today. With top-notch playing and singing by members of Iron Lasso, Chris Stuart & Backcountry, Kane's River, and Lost Highway, "Fistful of Lonesome" is an impressive and exciting debut.
--Julie Elkins, Kane's River

A mighty assortment of bluegrass tunes, Iron Lasso favorites, an Eddie Rabit chestnut, and the definitive version of "La Cucaracha," all played with fire and feeling that was surely homegrown in the mountains and plains of Western Montana. An instant classic that I'm sure you'll like a whole lot, and that's got the "Manny Schewitz" stamp of approval on it, folks.
